Hello There!

Hello There!

My name is Berecki and this is my first post here at Life and Godliness Ministries! I am really excited about this website and the opportunity to share some of the things I have learned or am learning with you all!

Where in the world have I been?

So, it has been a full year since this website was first published, and while that is exciting, it is also a bit convicting to me. At the time my sister, Lili, and I started it, I was so excited about the opportunity to write on it! I was sure that I would have the dedication required to follow through with the commitment involved in making a website. And since that time, I don’t know how many times I have written “Write a blog post” on my to-do list, yet never had the dedication required to actually sit down and write something.

Because I’d better have a good excuse.

I certainly could make a good and long section about all the responsibilities, unexpected circumstances, and just plain laziness that have deterred me from writing before now (I mean, I have a whole year’s worth). But, I will instead tell you about one of the lessons I have learned (and am learning!) along the way. A lesson God has taught me about faithfulness.

But I did learn something!

Faithfulness is defined by Merriam-Webster as “Steadfast in affection or allegiance” or “Firm in adherence to promises or in observance of duty” (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/faithfulness). Faithfulness is doing what you are supposed to do, continually, regardless of feelings. It is a desirable character trait and one that believers ought to exemplify.

Faithfulness is something that God requires of us. We are to be faithful to Him, to His Word, and to whatever He calls us to do in life. 1 Corinthians 4:2 says, “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” (KJV) We are to be found faithful in all that we do.

I know that I have not always been faithful to what God has called me to do, But I also know that my God is faithful even when I am not.

I have by no means delved deeply into the many Scriptures on the subject of faithfulness, but I wanted to briefly share with you a lesson that I am learning that especially pertains to my dedication to writing on this blog.

I hope you did too!

I hope that my learning experience is an encouragement to you to keep on learning! And if nothing else, I hope that it was a reminder to you of how faithful and wonderful our God is! Have a marvelous day!

To God be the Glory!

Berecki
